KEANE

Welcome to the new website 03 April 2012

A very warm welcome to the new-look keanemusic.com. We hope you like it. The aim of the changes was to take the km.com you guys know and love, and make it better, more flexible and nicer to look at.

You can still access all of the news stories and blogs from the last incarnation of the site (which launched back in January 2008), plus we’ve added in all the news stories from previous incarnations of the website, taking the archive right back to February 2004, three months before Hopes & Fears came out. As you’ll notice, we’re using randomly generated images from the Under The Iron Sea era artwork for all the old stories.

The Live section has been streamlined and we’ve also added a gig number to each show, so that you can see, for example, that tomorrow’s Moscow gig is Keane’s 589th show! All 588 of the ones before that are available in the Live archive, where you can add comments and pictures to any Keane show (or check out other people’s).

We’ve also added social buttons to the site, so that you can easily share stories to Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Plus also moved all of the Discography onto one page, and added buy links. And the site now works much better on mobile devices.

Last but not least, the Keane Shop has also had a total makeover. Plus, you can now buy things from within the website, thanks to natty lightboxes – click here to pre-order the album, for example.

As ever, you guys remain a HUGE part of the website, so we look forward to reading your comments about the new look.
