The lads pick up a GQ Award.

Last night, Keane were named Band Of The Year at the annual GQ Men Of The Year awards at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden.

Richard and Tim were presented with the award by actress Juliette Lewis, who – if we’re honest – didn’t seem to have written the speech that she read from an autocue. “And the winner is… um… a band I totally love… called… uh… Keane”, she stumbled somewhat unconvincingly, before handing over the award.

At this point, Tim R-O stepped up to the mic, grinned and announced to the packed crowd, “She clearly hasn’t got a clue who we are!” Cue much laughter from the audience, followed by what may have been a slightly awakward photo shoot…
