I really enjoyed this latest "What do you think of ?" interview.It was very interesting. Thanks to John Roderick and Tom. I also appreciated the presence of Jesse and Tim -btw I wonder what kind of necklace Tim was wearing- It was nice to catch a glimpse of them. I also appreciated Richard's presence and responses too - the more the merrier I guess (plus on est de fous plus on rit). John Roderick is a funny guy, to my opinion. Must be funny to tour with him and his band (they toured with you if I'm right).I thank him for the many interesting info and statements made. Thanks again to everyone.
Very interesting, friendly guest! And what a special answers. I didn't know John at all, but because of his answers I would like to know more about him. That's a feature of a good interview. And so nice to see the reactions of RICHARD. I love WDYTO (Matt Lucas!!!) and LA mini docs and the Christmas Broadcast. Did you ever interview the guys of Top Gear? Or appear on this show? XXX from Holland!!!
Thanks for the wonderful interview Tom! But there's something that i don't share.. and it's about zoo's stuff because is not about encaging animals for people to watch, they also contribute to wildlife conservation by projects creation, offering protection to animals captured by mean people that look for making money from them.. so i think people should inform more about them! That's all! Good night :)

Hey BC kids. Hello, playing with fire again. I find John Roderick a very interesting guy. It was worth watching this interview with him. Kudos to the director's choice (or the lack of it, maybe ;-) ) of putting him in front of the mirror, so that we could see a bit of the Mighty Director himself, a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance of Tim, the supporting actor Rich and the effects of JR's hands on the mirror were really great. Well done, guys.

I became a fan of The Long Winters in '05 during the West Coast leg of H&F US tour.Good to see John again! We are of like minds, I see except on one point- I believe "Tim is a handsome man" is a gross understatement, though I guess he really couldn't gush on and on... When will YOU be the interviewee, Tom? Hummm? You could interview yourself you know.I would like to see Jesse in one of these soon, and enjoyed watching Richard in the mirror. Love to see him smiling & laughing. ^_^ Glad to hear the happy tone of your lovely voice, Please come to LA every chance you get! (impossible to see you too many times!)
John Roderick´s opinions are very interesting, and funny, I like the one about music critics, golf, Tim, alcohol and Alaska.As regards the religion, I am the believer/ no orthodox/ but I can talk to unbelievers about different things... Anyway John is likeable man ,Richard´s reactions and Tom´s smile and speech are very lovely....

Frankie - no mas. Stop making fun of JR. He grew up in Alaska, the Great Land, Alyeska. You should visit Alaska sometime (about this time of year, to be honest.) Instead of asking "what do you think of Alaska?," I wish Tom would have asked "What do you think of Sarah Palin?"
this was very interesting and funny :D i've always loved alaska and wanted to visit it, my whole life. i really hope the oil drilling doesnt happen, it would destroy the national park that protects the wildlife living there.

I was sorry to hear about Michael Jackson. I hope that his family is doing okay now. I will say some prayers for them! The best parts of this documentary are Tom's laughter and the facial expressions on Richard's face. I could listen to Tom talk and laugh all day! Very funny video. Love these intimate films.
One more! Tim & Jesse: Where did you both have to go back in May when this was first filmed, and you walked out of the room? Hmm?? Just curious. I have a feeling this Q. will never be answered....(haha!). Have a good time while on the PS Tour!!! ~A.!

Fantastic interview very entertaining. Just like to say John obviously never took my advise about his hair and hair products. Definately needs a bit of attention. Also it made me laugh seeing his teeth. God the americans always go on about the English and their teeth!!!!!

He seems like a sweet, funny and interesting guy! As far as looks, he reminds me of Mikey Teutul from American Chopper- I think they may have been separated at birth. I was waiting for Tom to ask him "WDYTO....teeth?!" Thank you Tom, it was very entertaining as usual and thanks Richard, for making me thirsty for a beer as I watched.

@Gudrun and niza- I agree with you about the volume. This was a tricky one for me to watch at work. When I had the volume up loud enough to hear John's answers, then Tom's laughing was way too loud!I'll have to try again at home.

It hasn't been announced yet who will open for Keane in Seattle in September. The Long Winters would be a good choice. I read that they would be at Bumbershoot which is a few days before the Keane concert...... BTW - Please go to Vienna!

Nice interview... I agree on Zoos, but there are some very good one. Zurich Zoo is constantly improving their environment for the animals. Some already have wonderful outdoor habitats that represent their living area in the wilderness and the breeding program helps that rare species do not extinct. There is a very special big hall called Masoala Hall which represents the rain forest in Madagaskar with different species from there inhabiting it freely. You can walk under the trees and see a huge turtle lying near you in the bushes. Did he already miss that front teeth when he was opening for Keane during the Europe Tour autumn 2006? I loved John Roderick and the Long Winters then. I had a nice chat with John in Berlin and they were all so funny when they drove off in their little touring bus.
