Richard: I love this video! it's a full-on production with so much going on - huge cast, fight scene, proper acting - the sepia-filmed images of the past. It's heavy, too! properly depressing early-on - even the looks the baby and child give are spot-on. The little lad is so cool - there's real intensity to his stare. Honestly, I'm blown away.

Richard: I love the central idea of leaving the balloon as a message - it's really effective, and every good video needs a strong central idea like this one. Looks like you had a lot of fun making it, too, despite the cold! It's a really positive video that i really enjoyed.

Richard: Firstly, this is great - and I'm amazed it's your first animation! i love the angles (e.g. the drums, zooming in on the tv), use of mirrors, the details, the models… plus the way it becomes more intense as it goes on. Really really good.

That was amazing!! A great storyline. Could be next year's 'children in need' single/video??! I was really moved by it. I am a major Keane fan due to their talent but how brill that it encourages their fan's talent aswell. Good call Richard!

@Guggenheim: Ich kann verstehen, dass du unter dem Schock des Selbstmordes von Robert Enke mit der Kritik an diesem Video vielleicht ein wenig über das Ziel hinausgeschossen bist. Ich kann keine Klischees erkennen, die es Menschen mit mentalen Problemen schwer machen würden sich zu outen. Das ist wohl das Problem eines Gesellschaft, in der du ein Gewinner sein musst und stets Leistung bringen musst, die dann einem wild gewordenen Turbokapitalismus auch noch zu wenig ist. Für mich ist es offen, was mit diesem Menschen geschehen ist, jeder kann sich seine Geschichte dazu denken, und diese Offenheit macht das Video für mich intereressant. Und es ist allemal besser als das, was die sogenannten Profis für die Songs aus Perfect Symmetry abgeliefert haben.

What is the beginning about? Is the guy in a mental home or what does it represent? If this is the case: the mental home looks to me like a cheesy cliché. Such cut and dried opinions still make it difficult for people with mental illness - such as depressions - to deal with it in the public as Robert Enke.

I'm so grateful for all the kind words. It took me 3 weeks of brain storming to come up with this idea. Although the story goes around the neglected baby/boy, the lyrics applies to everyone from the crazies, the child, the mother to the cheating (and eventually dead) father. Hi and phew ! I think I've watched all the stuff... Thanks for the showing (particularly appreciated tonight as I had enough to hear about the Foot/handball drama !) + huge congratulations to this winner !... Richard, you're right : this one really is fantastic and the looks of the children are amazingly true to life... Frankly, the most properly terrible moment is when the mother throws these clothes to the child's face... Quite sad when children are involved in adults' problems... And the whole film is simply mind-blowing !... All the others are quite unbelievable, too !... As I love to open the eyes to the sound of KEANE, then I really enjoyed the animation that begins this way... The womanish Tom is so rock and I hope you liked the Little Richard... Cute !... The snapshots of women in streets are awesome too and all the faces are pretty, especially the last at end with large eyed and the David Hamilton girl style !... Funny too the one when the woman is on the brink of nervous breakdown with her big bumpkin !... By the way, I liked the trip of lucky fans who are following KEANE around US + I literally loved these agile fingers "playing TTR" in same time because it's the only one that I could have done because of its childish simpleness... But upon condition to have the idea and the guts☺!... As usual, there are lovely drawings + lots of imagination and I think this Halloween stuff coming out from the garbage = British humour !... This song I have always felt like an encouragement to live quotidien life .
