When I first heard this single, I thought…”what is this about?”. Now, I must say, I love it, because it`s a rhythm explosion, colorful and with many shades. Bowie in essence, with a very amazing Keane touch. Better than this should be a life philosophy, a way of acting. One of my favorites undoubtedly. Good luck with this third one, number three of the track list, out, in the third month of this year. Cheers.

Awesome choice for the next single! Where is the world going with this sick world of the age of celebrity??? where people's abilities seem to be of little worth unless they are in the media!!!! Ventured through the snow to see you guys for the first time at the BIC and although I was standing and couldn't see an awful lot, being only 5'2", I had a fantastic time and the gig was like being in your studio... so intimate and your live music was even better than I imagined. What a surprising choice! I love singing it, but still it´s the worst track on the album IMO. I highly hoped for Again & Again or You haven´t told me anything this time. Somebody mentioned Black burning heart as well... I´m really surprised by the single choice, anyway - more singles - more happy old and new fans/band lovers.;)

mr Tom, if you really mean that ... very nice. I think for those people who have walked through thick and fluid in their lives, is quite easy to recognize real, valuable things. A-ha! And I thought, that song was about the trouble of being famous! So, that´s the first song of Keane, that couldn´t really achieve me. The Live-version it´s good! But the song makes me melancholic, of a not very good way. And I don´t know why, I always have to think of a song, where someone rapped: it´s 90% business, 10% show. Was it Warren G, Nate Dogg? I had a feeling it would be 'Better Than This' as the choice for next single. On first hearing the album it was one of my least favourite of the tracks as it sounded so unlike and faraway from the usual Keane sound. Whatever song you choose from this album, it will do it justice to be a single because they all are incredible pieces of music. I'm just tired of all these comparisons of BTT to ATA of Bowie.Prepare to listen/read another round of them combined with the well-deserved acclaim. Perhaps that's the reason why you picked it up after all - you're up to another challenge defying all expectations and demonstrating your confidence and we-don't-care-what-haters-think attitude ( ♥ kudos for that). I was just wondering why you have to prove and defend the title "cool band"? You've always been for us and you know it but...maybe it's not enough which in some way does not comply with what Tom says about the meaning behind the lyrics of the song above. Anyway, great background today! I lurve the way he's rocking this a la Jonas Bros jacket!!!Way too cool than them. Here in Chile, the music market doesn't keep up with you, guys... You are going to release the fourth single already and here the ONLY SINGLE so far in the local radios has been The Lovers Are Losing... Imagine that!! I don't know if the problem is with the radios or the music companys, but here we didn't hear Spiralling nor Perfect Symmetry yet!! It's so unfair... I'd love to be there in UK!!

The Big Brother show is very abortive attempt , because Big Brother watch you is notice from the novel 1984 of George Orwell /1903-1950/ own name Eric Arthur Blair, he also writed The Animal Farm -both are the very precise vision of reality in which I grew up. In this novel 1984 is Thought Police as control system of thought and The Ministry of Truth with the slogans: WAR IS PEACE, FREE IS SLAVERY , STUPIDITY IS POWER and he very exactly conveyed inhumanity of this society and I am afraid that the message of this novels is valid at present too. I love Better than this as all songs of Keane.It s drizzling here I love this drizzle because you exist in this World/Tom/ loveant.

to Ginga and ALL ********************************************************************** ** i phoned trinity and got some guy told me that they had now run out of Perfect symmetry.they are a joke .im gutted ..i pre-ordered this on Dec 5th 2008 still got my confirmation email .this single wasnt released unitl 29th dec 08 .Surely ordering it that early would get me a copy.But no..i didnt even get a email telling me that my card was going to be refunded .and still havent and they have NOT refunded my money .I WANT THE SINGLE on 7" vinyl for my spiralling box set ..Sorry for my rant and rave here as the forum is the place for that,But hopefully someone involved with Keane will read this and hopefully do something about it (not holding my breath).... if this matter gets resolved let me know my email is MARTINMARTIN08@O2.CO.UK

Aptly put Tom! Clever lyrics but I do feel a little negative after it?Love the B sides so far too!! (SATC!) It is a hard world we live in with the pressures of every day life! I witness the miraculous work in the doctors and nurses I see, even the odd stranger has been a comfort! There are angels in people but very few. Unfortunately even here one can be obsessed with fame etc. I know, I have been a fan for over 4 years now, totally skint!! One succumbs to everything 'keane' from TV, magazines and trying to get those lucky photos and merchandise! Keane has become a very large part of my life! Without this though.. to linearamp: I'm still waiting for the refund of £3.95 to appear on my bank statement for the Perfect Symmetry CDS that Trinity could not supply because they ran out. Try phoning customer services and emailing, but don't hold your breath. Ps you might think that Keane of all bands would have an efficient shop that didn't do you out of your hard-earned cash!
